How does it work?
Transport and travel is recognised as one of the main contributors to an event's carbon impact. Our process links directly to an event’s registration webpage and:
- Includes a Free On-line Carbon Calculator.
- Predicts the carbon contribution of individual delegates travelling to the event
- Projects a total carbon impact of travelling to the event in kgCO2
- Identifies the potential for reducing that carbon impact and establishes a feasible target
- Incorporates measures to improve uptake of sustainable travel solutions
Has it been tested?
The organisers of "Seeing is Believing" pioneered our process for their three-day event in November in the Midlands. Our package helped delegates registering for the event choose an alternative more sustainable method of travelling. We were overwhelmed with the positive and encouraging response that our pioneering initiative received from the delegates. The interim report indicated that up to 40% of carbon impact could be reduced by delegates opting for their preferred alternative.
