Transportation Assessment
The Transportation Assessment assesses the traffic impact of a development on the local transport network. An early Transportation Assessment which demonstrates a development's sustainability can avoid expensive and time consuming delays in the planning process.
Access Road Design & Road Junction Design
Access Road Sightlines & Road Junction Design will consider the existing sightlines and traffic speeds, including speed surveys if required. In and around the site, we would consider Vehicle Turning Circles and model Car Swept Paths, and carry out a vehicle swept path analysis using Autotrack software to find practical and cost effective options. We would consult and negotiate with the local authority to develop a preferred access solution including traffic calming schemes. Other solutions such as traffic signal design and roundabout design may also be considered. Our Free Sightline Calculator can provide a helpful preliminary indicative assessment.
Road Safety Audits
Our Highway Engineers are able to carry out Road Safety Audits, Stages 1 through to 4, based upon Highways Agency procedure DMRB Vol 5, HD 19/03 and the IHT Guidelines. View a Road Safety Audit project.
Sustainable Travel Plan
Required with most planning applications, our broad experience can integrate innovative sustainable measures such as the CityCarClub initiative.
After the successful award of Planning Consent for the development, we would discharge the highway planning conditions, producing detailed engineering drawings.
Residential & Commercial Developments
